How to remember your dreams when you wake up
Do you dream & often time,when we you wake up? You remember your dream but after 5 minutes,you can’t seem to remember what the dream looks like? Or you dream and when you wake up,you can’t even remember any scene from the dream? Then this is for you.
The fact that you can’t remember your dreams when you wake up doesn’t mean that you don’t have a retentive memory. The fact remains that the ability for the brain to store things during sleep is lower than when the body & mind is awake & active. Have you ever wondered why some people always remember their dreams & you do not? A study published in the journal Neuropsychopharmacology and reported by International Business Times suggested that those people who reported high dream recall had more activity in the temporoparietal junction than those who don’t recall their dreams often.
What should you do to start remembering you dreams when you wake up?
*Don't eat, drink alcohol or take medication right before bed.

remember dreams? Oh yes!
Try not to ingest anything for at least a few
hours or at least thirty minutes before going to bed so that nothing interferes with your memory slightly or your sleep pattern.
*Set a Steady Sleep Schedule
This will be a routine & it can aid rememberance of the dream.
*Don't jump out of bed.
Concentrate on recalling your dream when you wake up.Jumping out of bed immediately you wake up from sleep may cause you to forget what you just dreamt about. Relaxed state.The scenes of the dream will come to your memory. Don’t move and don’t do anything. Stay in the same position as the one you woke up with & try to remember as much about your dream as possible before you even think of anything else.
• Write it down.
Place a jotter/note pad & a pen within an easy reach of your bed & write the dream down immediately you wake up
You can always open a blank page before you sleep so you won’t always have to start searching & searching for the next available/blank page.

*Use a voice recorder to record your dream.
If you’re the type that always get overwhelmed by your dreams that you can’t even write anything when you wake up,you can adopt this method.
Keep a voice recording device near your bed before sleep so you can verbally recount what happened in your dream in it & listen when you eventually slepp back & wake up again.
*Tell your partner or someone close to you about it.
If you share a bed or the room with someone,you can tell the person about your dream & try to spill out as many details as you can. This will help you have a record of how the dream went because even if you forget it when you slept back,the person you narrated it to will be able to remind you.
